We packed so much stuff, but the stuff I was so glad we had was a pillow from home (hospital pillows are terrible!), the boppy, cell phone and charger, and camera. My hospital gave us toiletries, and I had no desire to wear my own clothes, wore the hospital gown until the morning I was discharged. Oh, but I was so glad to put on a sports-bra like nursing bra, I hated having the girls hanging free.

I packed a long sleep tee from target and loose yoga type pants. I thought I'd wear the pants more but didn't get out of the sleep tee for two days! It was nice to have two options,
Medela lanolin! I think it's called nipple therapy.

Being able to shower and put on my own clothes the next day made me feel sooo much better, so I'd pack your toiletries, flip flops for the shower, and some comfy yoga pants.
Also, pack some snacks for the hubby.

Personally, there were a lot of things I brought that I didn't use. The hospital gave me socks, lanolin, toiletries, and probably other stuff I can't remember. I did use the toiletries that I brought, just to make me feel more normal. The other things I really used were phone/iPod charger, music, and Boppy (stayed in the car until we moved to postpartum unit). I also brought a couple different outfits for me to wear home, because I didn't know how I would feel.

I forgot to mention to bring an empty duffle bag - if your hospital is like ours, they let us take so much stuff home...diapers and wipes for LO and then pads and mesh undies for me. Plus we were given a lot of paperwork and pamphlets, and we ended up with a lot of gifts from visitors so an extra bag would have been helpful when we left!
