So, the other thread about seeing weird things while driving inspired this.
When you see someone doing something stupid do you honk? Or do you just curse at them under your breath?
I'm definitely a mixture and I use my horn more than most people. I've even leaned over when my husband is driving and honk the horn when he won't. LOL Drives him nuts. I also glare at people. I'm a big road bitch.

@chopsuey119: I can't help myself and I can never understand why he won't honk. I'll usually tell him "Can you honk at them??" and when he doesn't I will lean over!

I always want to honk but I'm too slow!!! By the time I remeber where the horn is located and try and honk the moment is gone so them I just curse them under my breath...

I'm so not a honker. When I get mad, I get flustered and forget to use my horn. My only satisfaction is usually delivering dirty looks in the rear view mirror.

I honk! I honked at two people today that both ran the same stop sign and almost hit me! Ugh! And i totally honk for DH too... he doesn't appreciate it though!

It depends on my mood. If I'm in a bad mood, it's honking, cursing, and hand gestures. : /

hahaha, @Arden: So funny when that happens. There was another thread a while ago that was called "You all deserve a round of applause", I totally thought it said "You all deserve a round of apple sauce"

I rarely honk, but funny this should come up. I just got back from picking up DH from the airport, got cut off, and just laaaaaaid on the horn.

I don' think I abuse my horn but I am not afraid to use it when needed! It's funny because there was a day earlier this week when I honked twice on the way home, for good reason. DH almost never honks and I am encouraging him to learn, but I have never honked while he is driving.

I rarely honk, and when I do, I'm a "polite" honker. Just a short blast to say, "hey, please move!"

I saw someone flick her cigarette out her window today and I just rolled my eyes and thought, "you can start a fire, lady!" But if someone cuts me off or drive erratically or doesn't pay attention and is moving over to my lane I'm definitely going to honk at them. Although, I do honk with caution. I pick and choose b/c who knows what these crazies have in their car these days. Plus, most times I have one of my two boys with me in the car so I have to be very mindful of who I honk at. If it's just to remind people that the light is green, then I will give a polite quick honk. The longer honks are for those things I mentioned above that is going to put me and my family in danger. I used to be a lot more aggressive... Being a mom has sure changed me!

Honker, also honk my husband's horn. He told me that we should not exhibit any road rage in front of DD though. Ugh, it's hard. People just suck at driving.

Honker/cusser right here! Although my old car had the most pathetic little honk, so I tried to avoid using it and just made faces/yelled I discovered yesterday though that my new car has a wonderfully angry honk and I plan on using it often!

Boston drivers are crazy and do the "honk back" - ie if you honk at someone for being a real a-hole on the road, they honk at YOU for honking at THEM. It's infuriating. I once got into a full out honking war with someone where we were just honking at each other until the guy rounded the corner and I could STILL hear him honking from a block away. So I try not to honk at all unless the light turns green and someone is clearly on their iPhone or something.

I'm a honker!!! DH tries, but most of the time he doesn;t hit it in the right spot, he gets pissed off cause it isn't honking, then he normally just swears at himself, the car, the person.....he's a ball of rage! LOL

@JoJoGirl: We do the "honk back" up here too. It drives me batty and I've gotten in a honking war too. Because the honk back drives me insane I try not to honk unless someone does something really bad, then I lay on the horn!
I also curse at other drivers a lot, and it is definitely NOT under my breath!!

Not really. Only if I feel like I'm in danger & need to let someone know I am there! DH uses his enough for the both of us!

I'm a honker! My husband doesn't and I'm like, "How are they going to know they are about to merge into our car if you don't tell them?? They cannot hear you swearing." I don't honk for him though. I think he'd make me sit in the backseat if I started doing that.

When DH first moved here he was amazed at how polite everyone was...hardly anyone honks! I honk when necessary, but lots of times it doesn't occur to me to do so until the moment has passed. DH is a crazy honker though.

I honk if I feel like my safety is in danger OR when someone is driving slowly/stupidly because they're on their phone!! Otherwise, I curse like a pirate.

I mainly curse out loud and depending on how severe the action is (cutting me off for no reason), I occasionally give them the bird. I tend to only honk if the light changes and they're not moving because they're busy texting on their phone or if they're merging into my lane and I'm RIGHT there.

@pointybird: I say this to my husband all.the.time. He doesn't listen and instead just yells and curses. I'd much prefer a quick honk to let them know than to rage in front of our kids!

I only honk if there is imminent danger of collision. Otherwise you just set off a chain reaction of everyone honking & driving even more pissed off. They call us massholes for a reason, once the honking starts, it doesn't stop!

I def honk! When someone's being extra a-holish, I give them the super looooong I forgot to take my hand off the honker honk
I don't do that here though, there's not enough ppl on the road to piss me off.

I don't honk all the time, but if someone is doing something especially rude or stupid, I think it's my duty to warn/chastise them! DH thinks I'm a bad person for honking, I'm pretty sure.
