We didn't get one for our LO but after reading @ecogirl's post, makes me want to get one! I even looked up infant CPRs classes today!

Yes we have one, in fact we'll have two. One for each child.
I highly highly recommend getting one. I barely slept until we got one.

I got one for Charlie but the beeping was so annoying that I shut it off after a day. I probably just didn't figure out how to use it right.
I know that pediatricians are generally against these monitors because they can scare you with false alarms, or provide a false sense of security. For instance you may check up on your baby less thinking that the monitor will warn you if something is wrong. I know that I checked on Charlie like a million times a day to see if he was still breathing!
I do think that it has saved the lives of some babies if you read all the positive reviews on Amazon. But as much of a worry wart I was the first time around, I survived fine without one.

We have one and love it. A few false alarms (mostly when she moves to the bottom ortop corner of the crib). It's really nice especially when she was sick I could let her sleep in her own bed but still check on her. You can watch a visiable icon tick for movement or actually listen to a click noise every twenty seconds. I also like that it has a temperture alarm (you set the temp) but its not really accurate.

We didn't have one for mavrick but got one for baby girl seeing we would be downstairs and her upstairs.

No, we didn't even consider it. I checked on my son when he was little.

We have one and although I think it's awesome, I'll admit that I think its main function is helping with my anxiety. I still checked on LO multiple times but it helped me not to be obsessive about it.

After reading the recent post about them, I'm getting one. I'd be crazy anxious without it and even though both DH and I will be with her the first few weeks, we're totally noob and need all the help we can get!

We have an Angel Care monitor, just not the one with the movement sensor. We are comfortable without having the movement sensor.
