I haven't done this yet but there was one evening where I was pretty close because of some belly tightening.
Have you called your OB after hours? What was the end result?

I have never called after hours... I've never had any major emergencies I usually just wait and call the next day, but I have a feeling I will go in to labor at some odd time of the night

After hours, twice. I was bitten by a dog over Thanksgiving weekend during my first tri and wanted to see if I needed to do anything. The second time, I called when I had norovirus and was puking and doing other unmentionable things and needed to know if and when to get concerned.

Twice. I had a previous miscarriage so I was extra paranoid. Both times for bleeding. One I ended up in the er at 3 in the morning, but lo was fine. Once nothing was really wrong.

twice.
at 20 weeks i went into pre-term labor and had to be admitted to the hospital. I only called after I had timed my contractions for two hours though.
The other time was because I thought I was having contractions again, and the doctor told me to drink lots of water and lay on my side and they ended up going away. I didn't need to be seen.

Twice. My doctor ended up giving me his personal cell phone number so I can call him if I need to. We have know each other since I was a little girl, but it's also because he is an awesome doctor.

I always waited until business hours. The only time I called after hours was once I was classified as pre-eclamptic and had questions about that. But that was the last week.

Haven't yet (34 weeks). But my health plan has a 24-hour nurse triage line, so it's not a huge deal to call after hours. I haven't actually called outside of appointment times yet (except for a yeast infection to get advice). Almost called last week due to some lower pelvic pain and back ache, but it quickly resolved itself. So at my appointment yesterday, I just asked my doc for clarification on when I should call for that. She said "anytime", but then gave me details on when I NEED to call.
