I have been seeing ads for visiting Denver and Colorado for the past couple of weeks. My husband and I lived between Denver and Boulder for a couple of years, other than difficulties finding decent paying jobs, we loved it there. This time of year, I really miss living there (Phoenix hitting 100 degrees makes me a little depressed every year).
Where have you lived in the past, that you really miss living at? Or do you live there already? Why do you miss it?

New York. I lived there for a year and met my husband there. I loved it. But it was so expensive that when DH and I got engaged, we couldn't afford to live there

Yes, my hometown. If any of you have read Nicholas Sparks' book Safe Haven, its written about my hometown (which is about halfway between Wilmington, NC and Myrtle Beach). We only live an hour away now, but I miss it. I love the salty air, the beautiful waterfront, the ocean, and (sometimes) the small town where I know half the people in the grocery store.
We're moving back closer to home in the Fall, but I'm hoping to convince DH to move back to our hometown in a few years.

I miss living in Savannah. I don't miss the roaches but I do miss being in such an amazing town with such great history.

I miss living in Ottawa, ON (really just back in Canada in general) its a small city, but really beautiful. I worked on Parliament Hill and lived within close access to the walking/biking trails... I miss running along the canal so bad and the beauty/politics of the Hill.
DH and I also lived in Southern Maine by the beach for a year... totally out of budget now but was amazing while it lasted!

We are absolutely mid-westerners at heart (we live in MN) but we lived in SoCal for 3 years and miss it a lot. Much more than I thought we would!
And I know DH misses his OH home. He talks about moving back all the time.

I miss living in Maryland (Annapolis). I moved there after college and left two years after that to come to NYC for my career. I love my work, but I never should have left. I literally get a sick feeling in my stomach when I think about not living there anymore.

Home. As in my parents' house. I still live in the same town and only a few minutes away but man I miss coming home to a homecooked (by mom) meal every night, watching stupid tv shows with my dad, waving at my dad every morning as I drove off, etc. I think I'm just feeling emotional today but oh what I would give to be a kid again.

I miss my hometown in Oklahoma bc that's where all my friends and family are. I do love where we live now. I wouldn't mind moving back though. The hubby even mentioned it a couple times and he grew up in Dallas!

@eeh: I miss my dad's home cooking like crazy too!! Nothing beats home cooked food, even if you can replicate the recipe.

My parents live on the border of LA and Orange county. I love it because it's close to la and close to my favorite orange county beaches. Also close to San Diego and Mexico!
Also miss living in the bay area. I actually wouldn't mind living in San Francisco for a little while.

I miss living in NYC. Whenever I go back, I feel so at home. I miss everything about it...the food, the people, the public transportation system, shopping...boohoo.

I miss living in MA, south of Boston. It's so scenic. I grew up there but moved to MD for school, met my husband, and stayed. Now every time we go to MA to visit my family we talk about moving up there, but it's just not going to happen.

Well I've only lived in 3 spots in my entire life, and only remember 2. I do miss living in my hometown, the small town atmsphere is something I miss when living in a bigger city. I would love to move back there, but DH will be farming his parent's land eventually so we will have to live in his hometown...even smaller than mine. This will take some adjustment for sure!

Lived in Malibu for freshman year of college and I miss living there sometimes. Not necessarily Malibu, but just SoCal in general. The weather was amazzzzing.

I miss Montana. My husband and I met there, in college, and even though we moved away four years ago, that's still where I think of as "home." Unfortunately, I doubt we'll ever move back there; now that we have kids, we want to be closer to our families, and Montana is just too far away.
