I always thought those were lame whenever I saw them on people's cars (like they're trying to show off). But now...omg...I would be SO proud if my kid was an honor student and would consider sticking it on my car if my child wanted me to! My husband agreed.
Would you stick the Proud Parent sticker on your car? What if your child wanted you to?

hahaha, when i read the title of your post, i thought to myself, 'god, i hope my kid never asks me to do that! i'd have to put it on there if they asked!'
only if they asked & said it was important to them... but i might try to tell them how special it is & how putting it in a scrapbook where we could keep it FOREVER would be even better than on a car we'd only have for a few years.

I wouldn't. My parents never did. They taught me that the accomplishment in and of itself is enough and that they were proud of me, but didn't think we needed to advertise. Kind of like bragging.

@mrs.bird: I like the scrapbooking idea! I'm not a fan of stickers on cars but I thought that if my child really wanted me to (out of a feeling of pride, I would totally want to). But I like the scrapbook idea even better!

I totally would... but I would only have one sticker on there per school, even if the kid got on the honor roll each report card. I hate seeing 10000 of the same stickers all of the bumper!

my parents put mine on their minivan, but i hate hate hate bumper stickers. so, no! i guess i'm selfish. haha

@banana: Every time I see more than one sticker on there, it drives me nuts. But I wonder what I would do if I had 2 LOs at the same school both on the honor roll. Would LO#2 feel ripped off because I clumped him/her together with LO#1's sticker? Ahhhh the dilemma!

@habesbabe: Oh yeah, I didn't think about that! LOL! Never thought I'd be thinking so much about being fair about bumper stickers! Because you KNOW the kids would like "That one is MY sticker and that one is YOUR sticker". UGH.

I wouldn't! Our LOs will know how proud of them we are without us having to stick ugly stickers on our cars.
I'll throw them on the fridge instead!
