M spits up quite often, and usually when she does it's a good amount. My question is can I wait until the end of the day to do laundry, or if she spits up in the morning should I wash everything right away? I am trying to avoid doing multiple loads a day, but I don't want her clothes or mine to stain. She's EBF...not sure if that matters.

I used to do laundry at the end of they day and none of her clothes stained (she had reflux so we were 5-6 outfits a day for the both of us.) You should be okay! This was okay with both EBF and formula.

R spits up all the time and I just do laundry once a week and so far nothing has been stained.

We also do laundry every few days and haven't had problems with spit-up staining.

I know my SIL had some problems with staining, but her boys spit up a lot and were on formula.

@lemondrop: Formula stains? We are starting to wean and she had a huge spit up last night after a bottle. I guess I better soak that onesie tonight. Bummer

@Smurfette: I got a lot of those clothes as hand me downs (a year later), I used a little stain spray and washed a couple times and most of them came out and aren't noticeable. My nephews were preemie and had a lot of reflux issues too, so there was a lot and I know my SIL didn't have time for laundry.
My little guy's spit up reduced quite a bit after around 6-7ish months, so hopefully it will be minimal for you

E had reflux and barfed so much that we just, well, let her go sans shirt most of the time. With a bib. Haven't had any staining issues

hand washed so it doesnt stain and did it at the end of the day if we had enough laundry.

DD didn't spit up much, but she had a ton of blowouts. I would just rinse the clothes really well with water and then spray some shout on it. I did laundry only when I had at least a 1/2 or full load... so, once or twice a week?
