We are starting to plan R's 1'st birthday. It is going to be Twinkle Twinkle Little Star theme. Think pink, silver, and glitter. We are going to do it at 2 since I think she will be in the next up room at day care before her birthday and nap time starts at 1130, so we are going to try our best to do that on the weekends too.
Can you think of any food that I can tie in with the theme? Thinking heavy appetizers and desserts since it will be at 2

Ooh what about a platter of star fruit? You can make sandwiches and use a star cookie cut out?
I know sometimes you can find pasta in weird shapes I wonder if there are star shaped pastas? That can be fun in a soup!?

Ks baby shower was twinkle star themed! My GFs found these star shaped sprinkles (ours were gold, but they had other colors) and sprinkled them in top if a lot if the desserts.
They also gave out star shaped cookie cutters as favors, and you could use them to make a lot of star themed food!

finger foods are always easiest! You could even set out a cracker, cheese, and sausage platter. Cut the cheese into little stars, and cut the sausage either into stars, or maybe into crescent moon shapes??

Star fondant cutouts for cupcakes. "Star" dusted food. Triangle shaped food artfully arranged can look like stars.

omg i want to steal your theme, this is adorable! You can do so much! Cut anything out with cookie cutters--brownies, etc! They make edible glitter--I've used it on cupcakes and it is ADORABLE. star shaped confetti....oh man you have lots of options
They always have those star shaped balloons, too

You can do all sorts of yummy foods in star shaped ice cube trays. I was just reading an article about these: http://happyhourprojects.com/bite-sized-party-bark/ I'm sure you could do some other treats in star shapes.

I made star-shaped cookies and also added tiny edible silver stars to the cake frosting. Even though you can't really tell in this pic - you get the idea.
