We got our stockings from Kohls and had them embroidered locally. Easy peasy

I went through this last year! Our first year as a family of 4 so I wanted to order our "forever" stockings. Was so pissed when they arrived because all the embroidery was off-center and one stocking was completely the wrong one (a girl angel with "Rob Jr." embroidered on top...). PB was great in getting me my money back though and offered to send new stockings for free. Instead I took the money and ordered a set from Red Envelope which I LOVED!!!

@mrs. wagon: You know I didn't notice last year, but when I got DS's stocking out this year, his name is off center! I ordered it from Pottery Barn over a year ago. Do you think it's too late to call them? So annoying. Wish I would have noticed it last year.

@mrs. wagon: I guess the only this is, is that they don't have the same stocking anymore.. .at least maybe it's sold out. I got him this cute one with an owl on it.

@mrskc: oh no then you're probably stuck. When I called about the girl angel stocking they explained that they ran out of train stockings so they substituted the angel since mine had an angel on it. And then they embroidered a boy's name on it. Haha. They offered to send a replacement (or a whole set of replacements so we wouldn't have duplicates) but they only had stockings with GIRLS on them. angel, doll, and ballerina. That's why they refunded my money.

@dojo: to be honest unless you're using some crazy unique font I'm sure most embroidery places have the same font. I just plan to bring my fourth into a local place and have them match the font and yarn.

@dojo: I just bought some from Target this year. Going to wait till we are done with having more till I buy nice forever stockings. The ones I got on are cute cable knit.
