Have any of you used those vacuum bags that take the air out to store baby clothes? I'd like to order some but am not sure what size we should get. I'll probably store a bunch of the flattened bags in big totes.

I haven't but that sounds like a good idea! I use the giant ziplocks and they take up a lot of room!

We tried some (Ziplock brand ordered on Amazon) and they really didn't make a ton of difference with the baby clothes. We ended up using the big bags for extra blankets and duvet covers and it made more of an impact with those items.

I think the SpaceBags brand has a multi pack, you get a couple of sizes. I personally find the medium and large bags to be the best sizes. When they get too big, they get out of control and really heavy.

I have a set that has several different size bags in it. With my set, the large size is perfect. I have XL and XXL bags too, but like @looch: said, they get out of control bulky and heavy. The really big ones are good for down comforters.

We use space bags for baby clothes. I prefer multiple smaller bags to keep them lighter/less unwieldy. I just tuck a post it note in the front with what size clothes are in the bag (and sometimes I list the contents entirely).

We use the super large space bags that were left over from when we moved. They are huge like the side of a body pillow. We used one for two sizes. So we have one that held his infant, 0-3 and 3-6, another held 6-9 months and 9-12 month and so on.
I just looked at them recently and they held up pretty well! I'm going to rewash them before the next baby though.
