I'm 30 weeks along and don't have stretch marks yet. Am I out of the woods? Or will they creep in later? When did yours appear?

I lucked out and didn't get a single one! Not sure how because I gained 35 lbs and ds was 9 lbs!! I did lotion daily,'though. I thought for sure I would get some because I have them on my hips from my teens.

Then wi th my second, my preexisting ones just stretched even more and got darker.

Pretty early on for my first pregnancy!
With my second, even though I was easily twice the size, I only got a few and it wasn't until the last week that I got them!

32 weeks.
That's not true, it got a random one on my hip at eight weeks then a whole gang of them on my belly at 32 weeks.
With this pregnancy I noticed a new one the night before my bfp. No other new ones yet at 32 weeks, but I can't see under my belly anymore. I should ask DH to check for me.

I never got any! But my mom and sis never got them either so I think it's primarily genetic.

I got some on my hips early on. Around start of 2nd tri? I gained a lot in the 1st tri though. None showed up on my belly until 37 weeks (with twins). I really thought I was out of the woods, but they popped up at the last second. They have almost entirely faded, though. Makes me wonder if getting them later meant they faded quicker?

I googled this and thought I was out of the woods at 25 weeks.
They started at 37 weeks, and they spread across most of my belly by the time I delivered the baby.

Two pregnancies, zero stretch marks. I think it's genetic as my mom never had any either. We just have elastic skin

@CatchAFallingStar: I was pretty religious about slathering on Spoiled Mamas Belly butter. Man, I went through too many of those! But no stretch marks on my belly at all. After baby, a few popped up on the side of my left hip though! I'm pretty ok with that.

I got 2 & I didn't notice until maybe 35 or 36 weeks? The other one I didn't notice until a year post partum! It's on my belly button & on top of the slight scar from removing my belly button ring so I never noticed. The day I found out I was pregnant I bought stretch mark cream & it went on twice a day every day. So far I've kept that up with my second pregnancy

I got one small one on the side of my hip either early postpartum or during delivery. None other than that.

With my first I got them on my thighs in the second trimester and the belly ones didn't show up till about 35-36 weeks. Second time around they showed up almost immediately.

I thought I was in the clear, and then, bam! At 34 weeks, there they were. I got them on the sides of my hips and small ones on my thighs. I didn't get any on my stomach. I'm now pregnant with twins, so I'm sure that'll change. Don't worry too much- they fade after a while.

I thought I was in the clear. Nope. They came out after I had the babies.

I didn't but my mom didn't either. Think it's genetics and luck! I gained nearly 40 lbs.

I got them somewhere in the late 2nd tri/early 3rd tri? They're still happening!

I got a bunch but not until after 36 weeks with my first. I don't think I got any new ones with #2.

Heck - I already had them pre-pregnancy so I'm sure it is only a matter of time before pregnancy gives me more.

None with first pregnancy. I'm 36 weeks today and still none. My mom never got any, it has a lot to do with genetics.

Mine didn't show up until around 38 weeks but they were suuupper light, you could barely tell. Ask your mother about hers if you can. My doctor said that it is all genetic.

With LO1, none during pregnancy. I only got some on my boobs after delivery, when my milk came in. With LO 2, I got 2 tiny ones on a scar I have on my stomach, somewhere toward the end of my pregnancy- definitely after 30 weeks.

Never got any, though my mom has several. I did, however, already have some from gaining/losing a lot of weight in my 20s, so I'm not even sure that I would have minded much.
For what it's worth, I moisturized my stomach morning and night with cocoa butter oil

When I went past 40 weeks! FML! And I only gained 12 pounds, so it doesn't always track with that, either.

I got a couple around 30 weeks, but a BUNCH in the last 2 weeks (so 37-39)

Right at the end! I was totally cocky and thought I had dodged a bullet, nope!

After I gave birth I got them on my breasts! Probably because they grew so much when my milk came in. I got one on my hip before I gave birth but it was tiny. Hoping I can avoid more this time but we shall see.

I was religious about applying oil to my belly, but then around 20 weeks I noticed a bunch on my hips. I extended my slathering to my hips and never got any more there. I had one mark on my belly show up around 36 weeks. But considering my mom had TERRIBLE stretch marks, I'm thanking my lucky stars - and that oil
