@Zbug: I've always thought that you can't rely on blood levels when using suppositories. Also those levels don't seem that low to me for a natural pregnancy. Are you having an early ultrasound?

I was put on Prometrium for the first 12 weeks of my first pregnancy. Progesterone was low but I'm not sure of the number. Everything worked out fine. This time I was tested at 6 weeks and it was 14. Went on Prometrium again and the numbers doubled within a week. I'm now almost 31 weeks. Hope everything goes well!

With both pregnancies that I've carried over 6 weeks (I've had 2 mcs at before 6 weeks) I've had really low progesterone- less than half the lowest safe level- I've been on shots and done pills-- both have worked great-- I was done with Progrsterone at 18 weeks with DD and this one I'm 16+5 and still on them

With my DD, my progesterone level was at 8.9. There was issues with the lab, it was right around Christmas and I didn't even receive these results until I was almost 6 weeks. all that to say is that I was not even on progesterone supplements all that time when it should have been, but it all turned out ok! My DD is almost 1.5.

I remember finding an article that said that progesterone under 10 actually was ok in pregnancy. That under 5 pretty much meant not a viable pregnancy. Of course I can't find the article anymore. It made me feel a little better. I was soooo worried at the time before I got an ultrasound and we saw and heard a heartbeat.

Hang in there! How many weeks are you? Can you get an ultrasound done to put you at ease?

@Zbug: I hope it all works out! I know how scary it can be when you've had miscarriages. I had two MC's before I had my son.

My progesterone was under 10 with LO1. I took suppositories but they never remeasured progesterone after the suppositories.

@Zbug: I had SUPER low progesterone and got pregnant. I believe progesterone is connected to stress- for me, it caused a lot of spotting and shortened my periods.
The month i conceived, I did end up going on Endometrin suppositories 200mg a day from CD18- 12 weeks pregnancy. I heard the vaginal suppositories cause WAY less side effects than oral.

@Zbug: Stress is an odd, complicated thing too. Throughout the TTC process, I didn't "feel" stressed at all and seemed very happy (I felt pretty happy!) but I suppose I really buried a lot of it. Your brain doesn't lie to your body. In a somewhat related vein, my friend was getting married and also felt fine and unstressed but broke out in massive hives that only went away after her wedding. She says looking back she thinks it was stress manifesting itself.
My acupuncturist helped me work thorough some of my control and "buried stress" issues.
