I'd like to do more interactive thing with my husband once our lo goes to sleep. Not just, watch TV. Does anyone here play board games? Which ones do you play that you can play with just two people? What game would you suggest?

If I could get my husband to play me in Scrabble I totally would! We usually do card games or work on a jigsaw puzzle.

Give Bohnanza a try! Also there's a game called Qwirkle, I think you can play it with 2 players. Also, there's 2 player Blokus (or you can play the full version with just 2 people, but the 2 player version is smaller and cuter!).

Ooh also if you are into Settlers, Dominion or Puerto Rico (or many other games) you can play online at boardgamearena. We Skype with our far away couple friends and play on 4 laptops! (or you can play with strangers and gang up on them.)

We do.. not all are necessarily 'board' games ..Scrabble, Jenga, dominos, card games, and chess

Backgammon is fun!
What about card games? We always like playing Gin, Rummy, Spades, Canasta, etc. Well, and Hubs is into Magic: The Gathering, but I wouldn't suggest starting that up as it can be an expensive hobby!

PowerGrid make sure you get the robots expansion for a better 2 person game.
Race to the Galaxy is a card game like Puerto Rico style. I like playing that.
Dominion is lots of fun with 2 or more people.

@Adira: it's been forever since I've played backgammon! I'll have to see if we still have that laying around....

@mrs. wagon: Qwirkle looks fun. We played Settlers with some friends once and I think we need something that won't take so long.

@mediagirl: Qwirkle is fun!! Another fun one is Set. A little confusing to get but once you get it it's fun.

Board game geek is a great website for games! I like the game small world and it works for two people. It's pricey but I think you can try it online for free

@BeachMama: Yea, another vote for Sequence!! I don't even like board games, but used to be obsessed with this one... DH and I would regularly play this at home, just the 2 of us.

Another vote for scrabble, or a jigsaw puzzle My parents have had a running scrabble game going since they backpacked through Europe in the 70s.

We play Monopoly Deal, technically a card game but if you like Monopoly it is a much quicker way to play. We also like Ticket to Ride which can be played with just 2 people.

We got 5 second Rule for Christmas and had fun playing it. The box says 3+ players, but I don't see why it can't be played with only two.
UNO is fun too.

This isn't a board game, but DH and I are obsessed with Monopoly Deal, it is a card game, quicker version of Monopoly. We play it almost every night!

@purrpletulips: Just saw you wrote in about Monopoly Deal--DH and I are obsessed. We now play with 6 monopolies instead of 3 because the games end too quickly otherwise, unless there are more than two of us.

We play Trivial Prusuit with an ongoing score in the box, also Scrabble, doubles solitaire or war with cards, Wheel of Fortune & Jepoardy on PS3.

We play Trivial Pursuit, Blokus, Phase 10, Jenga, Skip Bo, & Life to name a few. There are other board games that we love, but they aren't as fun with just 2 people.

We play lots of games, Life, Monopoly, Connect Four, Trivial Pursuit, Chronology, Uno and Scrabble.

We've been playing pass and play words with friends on my phone. I wouldn't mind getting a real scrabble board though!

Scrabble, Yahtzee, Trivial Pursuit, but our absolute favorite is BrewMaster! You compete to build the most beers using ingredients such as malt, yeast, and hops. http://www.yeastbank.com/brewmastergame/brewmasterdetails.htm
Cards- Phase 10 and Uno we play frequently with a bottle of wine to share.
I think having a grownup game night after baby is in bed is great bonding!

@Kemma: @Smurfette: Me too! It's the only non-card game that DH really enjoys playing.

Ticket to ride, 10 days in the USA, transeuropa, fluxx are some others that are fun.
