Will our newborn be warm enough in a a&a swaddle inside a fleece sleep sack? Too warm? House temp is 68 but bedroom might be a little cooler. She will be in the arms reach co sleeper next to me.

To me, that sounds really warm. Even when it was January here, we just did a fleece swaddle with a diaper under.

I would put my baby in that to go camping in the winter. Jammies plus a light/medium swaddler are enough for 68 degrees.

@MaisyMay: @sarac: Thanks guys! this was my new mom panic moment the first night we were home from the hospital!
She's been co-bedding with us and just wearing a cotton sleep gown. Seems to be working

our baby liked to me warm, so we used the fleece swaddler a ton! but i wouldn't double swaddle.

@Silva: Yeah, sounds about right for this weather. I think if I had a newborn right now, I'd do a onesie under a light cotton swaddler.

We did a onsie with a fleece sleep bag all throughout the winter. The room was cold because we closed his vents so...68degrees. During the day he did the a&a swaddle over a onesie because the house was warmer, maybe 71degrees.
