No way, no how! If I walked out of the house in sweatpants anywhere here, people would look at me like I'd just escaped the insane asylum. It's just not done here from all I've observed...

I will only wear them on my way to hockey... where I am going from the car to a change room that smells like sweat and urine... I try not to wear things I care about

I don't own sweatpants but I wear yoga or workout pants out to run errands.

No for me, no way. I also hate it when DH doesn't change out of his sweatpants before popping out to the shops! What if someone we know spots him?

I don't see the difference between like a juicy velour sweatsuit or Victoria secret sweatsuit and yoga pants. Maybe it's the celebrity in me.

@Cherrybee: haha what if?! I honestly couldn't care if someone I knew saw me in sweats/yoga pants in public

Yoga pants I loooove wearing at all times lol. I make sure I still look put together if I'm wearing them in public though. I also wear leggings a lot.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: Same here Comfort all the way for running errands and such. Heck, even in college and grad school I would only wear makeup and "nice clothes" on presentation days. No shame.

Pretty sure I'm a walking 'people of Walmart' picture on the weekends if we don't have plans. Sorry, but I spend time looking human ALL WEEK, people can look at my hoodie, ponytail and no makeup for 2 out of 7 days

Never to sweat pants. In college (in SoCal), we all wore yoga pants and flip-flops, but I always did full hair and makeup and wore nice-looking, well-fitting yoga pants. The further away I get from college, the less comfortable I am wearing yoga pants in public, unless it's a quick errand early in the AM or late at night, or I'm actually on my way to/from working out. I live in them at home though! (And am a little more lax about it while pregnant, because comfort counts for a lot these days).

Haha! Is it terrible that I still have a soft spot for our college exam time studying 'uniform' of: baggy sweats (nice quality ones from roots Canada!), fitted hoodie, with a fitted jean jacket on top?
It still makes me feel all comfy and casual cool when I picture itin my head!
