LO has been having some diaper issues, and I've narrowed down the culprit to the detergent we've been using. I'm going to try a few different kinds, but how do I switch? Should I just wash several times in hot water w/ no detergent? I recently stripped them, so I don't want to go through that again.

I would just wash them with the new detergent. Urgjhh I hate hate hate stripping diapers.

I'm pretty sure stripping them gets rid of all the detergent buildup in your diapers. Maybe do a cycle of cleaning out your washing machine tub (we have tablets that clean it out). I think after that, you should be good to go...but I haven't had to switch detergents so I don't know for sure. I use Country Save detergent bought at our local organic shop

I actually use regular Tide powder and Calgon (for hard water) on ours. I was using All Free and Clear and it was AWFUL. I had so many issues.

@zippylef: I've been using Tide (and love it!), but her skin has been especially sensitive during this cold weather. I'm hoping a switch might help, but I'm not really convinced it will. But I've tried everything else already.

I might run an extra cycle with no detergent and then just switch to the new one. I feel like every few months I have to switch up my routine a little and nothing is quite perfect.

Do a clean cycle on your washer and switch to the new detergent. You should be fine with that.
