We leave for Mexico tomorrow (yay!) and we currently have a suitcase, a carry on, and a purse for me. We have an ergo for LO, and we are also bringing a convertible carseat to use on the plane. Do we need to bring our umbrella stroller (g luxe)? I initially thought it would be good to have in the airport so LO is contained and I have more range of motion (and it might be helpful on vacation?) but now i'm not sure. Thoughts?

It would have been nice to have an umbrella stroller when we traveled to the Bahamas. Having to carry or ergo DS was a bit of a pain. We walked a ton though.

we're going to puerto rico next week and I plan on bringing our g luxe. I figure it may be too hot to wear her all the time and she tends to nap on walks in the stroller and maybe on the beach? It's light, so I figure what's one more item

Personally, I'd leave it. If you can still wear your LO in an ergo, I'd go with that! I brought my umbrella stroller on my last airplane trip, and it ended up being more of a hassle to check. Happy vacationing to you!!!
ETA: If you do end up bringing it, I wouldn't recommend bringing the g-luxe to the beach! I made the mistake of trying to roll it through the sand, and somehow the wheels became super squeaky, which drove me nuts for the rest of the trip.

i'm the type that can't babywear for too long and need a stroller. also both kids are great stroller nappers so we would never travel without a stroller.

I'm doing a solo trip with DS cross country this wknd. Bringing the glight for airport - he can't be contained any other way!

I've never taken a stroller on any of our trips with A, the Ergo has always been great. I have to say though, when we went to Spain she was very hot being worn, but would have been very hot in the stroller too, so it's horses for courses. I'd do whatever is easiest for you.

We used our umbrella stroller a ton on vacation, and it was free to check at the gate.

We've done trips both with and without. I would take the stroller. Even if you end up carrying LO in the Ergo you'll be able to pile stuff onto the stroller. And assuming you're staying at a hotel on the beach, I love having a stroller for carrying all our stuff from the room down and back, or going for a walk in town etc.

I always like to have a stroller, my son didn't tolerate being worn for long periods of time.

Britax makes a wheeler thing for the convertible car seat that I have used to wheel LO in air ports that might be an option if you could borrow or find one on short notice!
