Here are our three beta hcg levels. Who wants to guess? Twins or singleton? We have our first ultrasound on the 13th and we'll be six weeks exactly then.
15dpo (29lmp) - 370
18dpo (32lmp) - 1210
20dpo (34lmp) - 2835

I'm guessing 1 ... But, I can only speak from personal experience. My hcg was 144 on 13 dpo, and we had a singleton.

At 5 weeks my HCG was 7000. One week later it was over 10,000 (my RE did not give me the exact number) and I have a singleton.

@Vegmama: @pui: It's not the level that makes me think twins but the growth. Once you hit 1200 it usually tapers off to a rate of doubling every 72-96 hours and yet we've more than doubled still in only 48. That's what's making me wonder. I know the number itself is very subjective.

Hmm I dunno. I had high hcg and early betas, but I had a singleton. It was 32 on 10 dpo and 123 on 12 dpo. Then I had a beta done at 5 weeks exactly and it was 9,000.

My first beta (10dp3dt) was 138 and my second (12dp3dt, basically equiv. to 15dpo) was 300 and I'm having twins! I'm voting for twins for you, but mostly because I want everyone else in the world to have twins too.

I voted singleton...mine was 395 at 15dpo, 758 at 17dpo, and 2740 at 20dpo. As for the doubling rates, mine was always under 80 until I got to 102,000 at 6w6d so I wouldn't go by that rule of thumb.

Hmmmmm, what protocol did you do? Do you know how many follicles you had? It def could be twins with those numbers, how exciting!

My beta at 16 DPO (or 11dp5dt) was 220 and I was originally pregnant with twins. Good luck!

@Trailmix: It was an IUI using clomid with three follicles although two were slightly smaller. I didn't even consider that twins would be a possibility until this last beta growth rate stayed at about 38ish. I know it's not the most reliable way of telling or not but still makes me a bit nervous!
