Just a PSA in case anyone is interested! It’s hard to recycle car seats and pretty much the only way you can do it is during Target’s recycling events. I just saw that one is happening now through May 4, and you can get a 20% off coupon toward other seats/strollers/gear if you bring one in. Most of the stores are participating and they take all sorts of car seats, including expired ones.

I just did it! Took literally 1 minute. A lot of carseats at Target are also on sale; and currently Redcard users get another 5% on top of the regular 5% so I got 30% off a new carseat that's already on sale

I was really looking forward to trading some things in and using the coupons to buy DD new seats - but the seats I need sold out online on the first day!!! Not sure what my plan is now...

@catgirl: Coupon is valid till 5/11, turn on the notification to let you know if it comes back in stock! The tranzition I wanted to get was out of stock too and came back in stock this morning (and only 3 left by the time I ordered)!

@catgirl: Did you ask at the store if they do rain checks? I don't know if that is still a thing but it used to be! So you could buy it at the on sale price and get it once it comes back in.

@psw27: I talked to my local store and corporate and they will not extend the 20% off coupon past the end date. Not sure if they would honor the sale price, but the price isn't that great without the 20% off coupon. But thank you for the idea!
