We went through IVF so he knew I was testing. He was on our bed praying because I was so upset the day before when the test was negative. I just gave a surprised cry and ran into our bedroom with the test.

I would tell him right away...I couldn't imagine waiting, I would feel like I was keeping a secret.

I couldn't not tell him right away...I would want him to know before anyone else, and I wouldn't be able to keep it to myself.

I didn't get any blood work for over 3 weeks after I POAS and there's no way I could wait that long. As it was it was hard to wait the minute that it took him to come to bed from the upstairs bathroom so I could shove my pee-stick in his face.

We took a while to get pregnant, so we usually looked at the pee stick together and the positive was no exception. They don't really do confirmation by blood test here, so that would have been a LOOOONG wait since I don't think I had the first blood draw until almost 10 weeks, and even that I don't know if it specifically confirmed pregnancy or was just to test for immunities, STDs, etc.

Poas! Told him a cpl hrs after I found out when he got homw fron work!

Right after POAS. A lot of doctors don't confirm with a blood test these days since at-home tests are so accurate.
I was a couple days late and took a test on a whim thinking I was most definitely NOT pregnant. When those 2 lines I popped up I took the test downstairs and was like ".......yeah, so remember how we said we would start TTC next month...." lol

I didn't get it confirmed till 6 weeks at my first doctor appointment. No way I could have waited two weeks to tell him.

Well, I was POASing starting at 6dpo, and the night of 8dpo, I got a faint positive. I waited until the next morning to test with a FRER, and it turned positive in less than a minute. I let DH sleep exactly 15 more minutes before telling him.
My midwife doesn't see you until 10 weeks, so there was no way I could keep the secret that long.

My doctor wont see you until 8 weeks so I told dh right away. Even if they saw me sooner id tell him. I wanted him with me at my first apt.

He knew I was testing in the morning. I purposely usually didn't even test unless he was home bc I'd go crazy not being able to tell him right away! I didn't have a blood test until 8 weeks and if I was him, Id be kind of furious if my partner kept it that long- plus by then the morning sickness had kicked in.
The only way I could see waiting is if it was a totally unplanned pregnancy from a casual relationship or something.

We were in this together. I tested, yelled, "Honey come here!" Then we both said, "Oh sh1#@#!"

I am the only blood tester I guess! My husband had told me "don't be like, 'I think I might be pregnant.'" So it was easy for me to run to a lab the next day and get a super quick blood test. I had the results that day. Paid out of pocket. I also confirmed my second pregnancy with a blood test but that time I told him after the stick.

About 10mins after test but he refused to get excited until doctor confirmed and even then he didn't exhale until first tri was coming to a close

I told him the second the super faint line showed up. He was in disbelief because of how barely there the line was! He refused to believe it until we got a bolder line a few days later.

I waited a few days because he said he wouldn't want to know during that week.. It was a career make or break week for him. But not for a blood test. Actually I never had a blood yes to confirm pregnancy. I had a urine test at my PCP's office then an ultrasound at my first prenatal with my ob.

I told him right away every time! The longest I waited was this last time- it was a couple of hours.

I didn't have a blood test until close to 10 weeks. My Dr just did another urine test to confirm at 5 weeks.
It took so long for us to get the bfp, I didn't tell him about every bfn. But he was in the shower when I got my bfp, waiting until he got out nearly killed me!

@Mrs Hedgehog: haha my Dh was the same way. The first two positives were so faint he said they didn't count. Logically I knew a line is a line and it happened twice, but I still couldn't believe it until the net day when a frer came up with a clear pink one. I count that as my BFP not the squinters. But Dh knew about them all.

I told him right away. I wanted to wait until I had a few confirmed tests, but when the line showed up (in the evening, of all times), I couldn't wait.

I texted him the photo as soon as I saw a line. He believed me, but when I got a positive on the digital the next morning and woke him up right away, he definitely knew it was for real. By the time I had a beta days later (already scheduled in advance), it was sort of a formality.

My hospital doesn't even do blood tests to confirm (my first apt was only at 9 weeks) - even if they did, there's no way I could have waited! I POAS about 3 times, got positives, then creatively thought of a way to tell him ASAP!

My doctor doesn't even do blood tests to confirm! So after poas for sure.
