Symptoms? Treatment? Did LO grow out of it?
LO is eleven weeks old and has always been a happy spitter but over the last couple of days she's starting to be unhappy about lying on her back about an hour after feeds and had a couple of episodes of quite bad crying which are making me suspicious.
Any thoughts?

You can get a test done. They have your baby drink something and x-ray them and watch to see if the flap is closing or the baby refluxes. We did this when ours was 2 week old (we were desperate). Zantac (liquid) is approved for infants. This helped for a short time but it is very weight based so they grow out of it and either need more or something stronger. But I would start doing some of the "easier fixes".
#1) Don't lay baby flat. Hold her upright for at least 10 minutes after a feed and gently slope any other things. For my son we let him sleep in his swing for the first few months.
#2) Don't jiggle baby. Keep the belly calm
#3) Try taking dairy out of your diet or try a gentlease style formula (nutragimin). It is common for babies (20%) to be not quite ready to digest dairy. Maybe even soy (70% of the 20% intollerant to dairy). My son bucks the trend and appears to only be intollerant of soy.

Is she spitting up long after a feeding or just unhappy? Is it possible that it's just stubborn gas that's making her unhappy?
For us, DS's reflux was confirmed because he was spitting up long after a feeding (1-2 hours), it looked like curds instead of watery milk, and it smelled bad. Our ped doesn't prescribe meds unless the baby is inconsolable.
We tried keeping him elevated for an hour after a feeding and elevating one side of the crib mattress. They didn't really work fur us. At 3.5 months, he's steadily getting better. FWIW, he also has a dairy intolerance that's he's out growing.
