Starting on night shifts next week! Has anyone got any experience of temping on night shifts? When do you temp and does it mess things up at all?

I'm probably wrong here, but when you're temping to chart, you're taking your basal body temperature, as in when you're body is at it's lowest temperature because you've been at rest. I think as long as you take it when you've had enough sleep and before you do anything, it could keep some sort of consistency??

Thanks @chibee: that's what I was hoping but I know that if I have a lie in and sleep longer my temps go up... I suppose the best
I can do is just pick a new waking time and stick with that. Have you ever tried this?

I was working 24 hour shifts this last month and my temps were all A MESS. I agree with the above, that I would take it right before you get up, whatever time that is. It may look different than your usual chart, but I bet you'll still get a pattern.
