My daughter is not even 13 months yet and she is already throwing tantrums when she doesn't get her way...... Yikes. I was going to wean her and she seriously has no intentions of stopping nursing. She throws a huge fit if I tell her no. She even shakes her head no at me if I tell her something she doesn't like. My boys weren't like this at such a young age..I don't want her to be spoiled but its so hard to not cave in when she is still so young.

My 14 mo old is also throwing tantrums and throwing himself on the ground when he is upset about something. They commented at school that he is very melodramatic. I was not expecting this from a boy and I didn't experience this was DD until she was at least 18 months. Chalk it up to the youngest?

@Oceanis723: Haha, Olive is a bit like this! She knows what she wants and tells you, even though she can't talk at all haha!

@T-Mom: That's what I was thinking! The younger one must learn this behavior from watching their older siblings... We're not quite there yet, but I'm already dreading the 2's with DS. We just got over it with DD!

@Oceanis723: Liv did this too. We called it the "Obnoxious Ones" lol. It stopped around like 14 months. I think they are just starting to figure out that they CAN communicate, but the lack of how frustrates them. And in livs case, shes VERY stubborn, so if we tell her no, tears come quickly. I tried weaning at that point too. Shes 16 months and still has NO intention of stopping...sigh.

My 1 yr old does this and he doesn't have a sibling to learn it from! I think some kids are just more intense than others.

My LO's 15 months and she's been throwing tantrums for a few months. They don't last long, no longer than a minute. But she'll throw herself on the ground, put her hands on her eyes, and scream her lungs out. Sometimes even screech. DH and I just kind of laugh at it.... I'm sure eventually it'll get worse and we won't be laughing.

I too was going to try to wean and there is just no hope because she throws a tantrum! Today, she had to have the tall bottle not the short bottle!

My LO is 17 months and she does it too. Some days/weeks are better than others. If she's got a cold or teeth coming in though then whoa.

I think girls start earlier than boys with that stuff. I dread months 15-22 with each LO I've nannied for, but then I think it gets easier. This too shall pass. But you already know that super mama! I don't know how you do it! You amaze me : )

@mrbee: she sure can tell me what she wants without talking. Way more than her brothers ever did.
@mrs. bird: Thanks. It's so weird that I have four kids but they alway keep me guessing. You'd think I would have a better handle on this stuff

@LivsMama: I like obnoxious ones I will have to remember that. My daughter is also stubborn as heck too I absolutely fear the teen years.
