Charlie was really bad for a month or so a while ago and we thought for sure that he had started his terrible twos. But it turned out that he was just sick and in a bad mood!

Yes, I had a couple posts around that time about LO being super difficult. She was cutting teeth but I think it was also a developmental thing with her learning to express opinions loudly and me sometimes being able to know what she wanted, sometimes not and sometimes not wanting to just respond to her every demand.

It's a bit better now but this morning she woke up cranky and just ended up crying on the floor until she decided life wasn't that bad. I'm not always sure what to do, sometimes I hold her and sometimes I just let her work it out for herself.

Baby Y is just a bit older and he definitely has meltdowns when he doesn't get what he wants. They're fairly mild BUT a lot worse if he's hungry or tired, though.

Sigh. My son is starting to hit the terrible twos I'm afraid. He's 2 so I guess I expected it coming. He goes bonkers when he doesn't get his way. And he has full meltdowns when he's trying to do something and can't, like shove his long xylophone sticks into his piggy bank. I think it doesn't help that he's a late talker so he can't really express himself verbally. I usually just let him have his meltdown and just watch so that he doesn't get hurt. He knows i don't like it when he does that because I'll purposely have a frown on my face. Sometimes he comes up to me afterwards and burrows his face on my lap if he knows I'm upset. But usually he just has his melt down and then goes on with his day. SIIIIIIGH.....
