Have you ever gotten any texts from a person you didn't know? I did, and it was announcing somebody's engagment, and then telling me I had to be a bridesmaid. I told the person that I was flattered and congrats but that I had no idea who they were. They had typed my number in wrong.

I did for a while. I can't really remember what they were about but they would call as well and yell at me. Ask me if "so and so was there and to PUT THEM ON THE PHONE" this happened for a few weeks and I ended up having to change my phone number.

I've gotten a few. I got a really angry text message on Christmas once completely in Spanish and a month or so ago I got a picture of two little boys (they were cute but I didn't know them). DH got a message a week or two ago asking how he was and when he asked who it was they just replied "You don't remember me?!?" and then stopped answering.

my friend got one while she had been drunk drawing from a person sending a message about her dog puking and so she sent the person the picture she drew...it was pretty funny...

I literally always call this guy because his number is exactly like my eyeglass place's number except 1 digit off. Seriously, in the last 2 years i've called him like 3 times. What the hell is wrong with me? -

I do get random phone calls and texts, but they're rare. I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. If it's important, they'll leave a message.

I get a lot of random txts and i just ignore them. but once, i got a call from a number i didnt recognize, so i let it go to VM. It was a sweet old lady wanting to let her niece know that someone in their family had died, and that they had not heard from her in years and were also hoping she would please contact them to let them know how she was doing.......I felt so bad, i just had to call the lady back to let her know she had gotten the wrong number.

Yeah two really awkward selfies from a chick who I believe thought she was texting her boyfriend/interest. The first one wasn't bad, the second one was crossing some territory so I felt obligated to just let her know her message was reaching the complete wrong person. Poor girl.

Once or twice.
When I was in labor my husband texted my friend who was going to take care of our pup for us. Well he was one digit off and texted a stranger. Who very sweetly responded with his congratulations at 4 o'clock in the morning! : )

hehe. i got a text from a stranger announcing an engagment too! she thought I was her sister, and at first, i thought the text was from *my* sister-in-law.... we had some confused texting back and forth before we figured it out!

When I texted a friend about my pregnancy, I got a response that said, "I think you have the wrong number, but congrats!" I was mortified.

I got a bunch of Merry Christmas texts from people I don't know. I just ignored them. I used to get phone calls from this angry asian woman who thought her husband was having an affair with me. She would leave messages wanting me to tell her husband to come home. It was awkward and hilarious. I also have an older lady who calls me every few months and asks for the same person every time. We always go through the wrong number conversation and then she doesn't call for another two months.
