We left pittsburgh this morning at 4am. It's 5pm and we are barely past Williamsburg. 95 has been bumper to bumper ALL DAY LONG and I'm about to lose my cool. 13 hours in the car so far, and we've got another 2.5 hours to go (without traffic)
Whose idea was it to go to the outer banks for Easter again? Oh, right, it was mine!

Oh no! I have done the drive once from just north of Baltimore to the Outer Banks and never again. It was miserable. I hope the rest flies by!

@locavore_mama: the island is so busy! Never seen it like this on the off season before.
We are here! Got in around 7:30, ran to the beach and ran back in. Happy to be standing and not in a car.

Omg! Was it just traffic or were there accidents as well?
Also, Easter is next weekend. Wow! Traffic is this bad already?
We were driving home from California to home in Seattle. It's a 12 hr trip. (Yeah, we are crazy.) On the way home, there was a huge accident that closed the interstate (I-5). It was a parking lot for 2 hrs before they opened it back up.
I think the worst part was I had to go to the bathroom and there was nowhere to pull over. It sucked.
Hope you get to Outer Banks soon. (When I've lived on east coast, I've been up and down the coast but have never been to outer banks.)
