Not getting multi-kid / family discounts!!
Everywhere we go, we see "family" rates for museums, theme parks and attractions. One kid or more than one kid, they all cost the same! How often do you hear, "Get a family three-pack of tickets..." Uh..never? Even health insurance is the same price whether you have 1 kid or 10!
Any one and done families know anywhere you get discounts for bringing just one kid?

Not one and done.... but I feel like in the long run having one will be much cheaper. Especially if my 2nd eats as much as my LO..... our grocery bill is going to be crazy!

Whenever M is old enough to want to take friends places, you'll be able to get the discount

It's still cheaper to get the family pak if you plan to go more than once though! And you usually get reciprocal at other local attractions. 
With our aquarium pass we had to tell them how many kids we have. In retrospect I should've lied and said I had 4 so when our nieces & nephews are in town they can get in for free too!

The health insurance makes me most mad! The LDS family of 8 pays the same amount as our family of four. Doesn't feel right!

When you go to help M pay for college, or her first house, or her wedding; having only 1 will sort of be like having a discount.
Seriously though, the health insurance thing is annoying!

Ehhh, having just our son is going to cost me more in the long run! I was just thinking that if we do a beach vacation when he's old enough, we should enroll him in sailing lessons so he's got something to do every day. If he had siblings, we'd probably not do that!

I am the youngest of 4 and my parents paid for 4 private college tuitions and 3 expensive formal weddings. Of course it was their choice to pay for these things and not pass the expenses onto us, but it's something to think about!

@mediagirl: later on, your LO can bring a friend and you can be a "family" of 4. My friend complains the opposite, there is nothing for a family of 5. I guess 4 is the hospitality fields definition of a family.

Haha I hadn't thought of this. At least when LO is older we can take a friend for free? My family had three kids so my parents complained about the opposite problem!
