We currently have a half dozen in our yard as I'm typing this (no trees around). They fight all the time, they are huge (think squirrels on steroids) and a few have been pounding at our vents trying to get into our attic (one successfully got in and our roofer had to repair the vents).
Is it just my area? I know squirrels are busy this time of year but they are SO annoying. They aren't even afraid of people.

We've got a few aggressive chipmunks! They zip around our lawn like it's the Autobahn!

@MsLipGloss: lol - chipmunks are at least cute. These guys are intrusive. DS doesn't want to play in our backyard because he's afraid of them. Haha.

We have some pretty crazy squirrels. They run across our roof early in the morning and it's so loud!

Ours are mildly crazy, but we at least have trees and walnuts in our yard. The woodpeckers though... those things are ridiculous! When we first moved into our house they loved pecking holes in our wood siding, and then all the neighborhood birds thought our attic was a great apartment... ugh. Needless to say, we got new siding!

Ours were worse in the spring, actually. We had a nest of baby squirrels in the tree by our house, and I hated every second that those stupid things were there/learning how not to let the dogs eat them. It was all I could do to keep them alive-our dog thought it was Christmas every time she walked outside and saw them.

@MsLipGloss: I love chipmunks, they are soooo cute! When I first saw one after moving to the Midwest, I called my husband over to the window to "look at this poor squirrel that lost it's tail 
" I have never lived that down... haha

@HLK208: I seriously almost lost it with those stupid things. Baby squirrels are DUMB. And they hang around forever. If we hadn't lived on a busy street, I would have let the pup off-leash to teach them a thing or two about survival. As it was, she almost caught one at least twice. Ugh.

My neighbor has a peach tree, so they're bonkers in our area. I hate them. A small family of squirrels got into our house and died. Stunk the whole place up to high heaven and DH had to pull the siding off the house and pull their dead ass stinky bodies out.

@HLK208: we were at the park and I had my diaper bag in our wagon. A squirrel climbed in and was trying to dig out LO's snack cup! I chased it away and it kept coming back the minute I walked away from the wagon...they are determined little buggers!
The scariest squirrel I ever saw was on my college campus. It was HUGE and perched on a bench eating a BUFFALO WING!!
