I didn't know there was a barista name spelling conspiracy. But I saw this and thought of all my fellow Starbucks lovers.

Duuuuuuuuuude. Ha ha.
Except there literally are more than 5 ways to spell my name (Catelynn - but that's not my spelling)..... So I have never expected to see my name spelled correctly. And it's never happened.

LOL! They started printing names on stickers at MY starbucks, so this hasn't been as cool of a "thing".

I still tease DH about the time his name was so horrifically misspelled it wasn't even in the same ballpark as his name. And he has a really easy name to spell. This must be why!

I have a friend who is obsessed with Starbucks and his name has an unusual spelling. So he makes it a point to tell the barista a different name (not his) every day when he gets his coffee and then he takes a selfie with his new name on his cup. It's his "What's my name of the day?" game. LOL. I find it entertaining.

@.twist.: Yeah! This particular friend likes to do French names. So each day it's "Je suis Sebastien" or "Je suis Marcel". It's quite funny!

I don't mind that they spell my name wrong, it can be spelled multiple ways--obviously none of them are the right way except mine
) But a completely different name! TWICE? My name is not Victoria!

@makemake: there are a lot of variations, that's for sure! My mom always says the way mine is spelled is the "right" way lol very rarely do people guess how to spell it correctly

I've always wanted to give them "prisoner 24601" so when they call it out I can say/sing: "my name is Jean Valjean!"

@Ginabean3: my husband does this at restaurants that call your name when your order is ready. I find it hysterical, especially when he pays with his credit card that does not have that name!
This reminds me of that episode of How I Met Your Mother when the coffee girls writes Barney's name as Swarley.
