is there some kind of milestone induced craziness going on? DD is normally sweet and calm. This week she is screaming when we try and put her down, randomly cries even after she is picked up, whines when she can't have something. WTH is going on?!?

Oh my goodness, this is happening at our house, too. Baby is the same age! My dear friend, who's son is the same age is going through it too. No one prepared me for it. Following this to see if others have gone through it.

For us, 10 months was the start of the separation anxiety phase and independent phase. He started doing this awful growling/screaming sound when he didn't like something. We are still in the thick of it at 11 months

@Ash: oh my god, I cannot deal with two months of this kid working herself up into a pukefest every night.

Omg! My LO will be 10 months on Thursday and I feel like I could have written this post myself. Tonight on the way home from daycare she screamed and cried so hard she was coughing. Soon as I got her out of her car seat she was fine. Had to put in her play yard to do something same thing. Even when we got her out she was just being "princessy".
I think it may because we had family here for the past week and there has always been at least one person to play with her while she is awake.
