Why do some coffee shops not allow you to pay until your order is done? I hate it. I just stood here like an idiot for two minutes while a barista made a latte. Meanwhile I blocked the whole line since the other barista was doing the same thing.

There's another place I go to that does the same thing, except they also serve food that takes 6-8 minutes to cook. *head explodes*

I don't get it... can someone help me understand the logic? Thanks!!
