@deerylou: does every outfit say "grandma" on it? No? Just my mom? Darn. I appreciate the clothes she gets its but they all say something about grandma. I get that she is proud but geeze.

@Mrs Hedgehog: Thankfully, no! She actually has pretty good taste, to my relief. However, my sisters-in-law flood me with 'auntie' this and 'auntie' that. I hate that kind of thing, because when the hell else am I going to put her in it, besides when theh're around? I don't mind the mommy/daddy stuff as much because we're both with her on the regular but I vastly prefer no writing at all.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: LOL! I guess no more complains about the heat!

My mom always asks immediately on the phone "why didn't you answer the phone?!" (if I am calling her back), or "what are you doing right now?!" But the tone is more like, like scolding. I think she thinks that since I don't work, I should be able to answer the phone immediately all the time. ugh.

I hate when she keeps on going on and on about how to make quick meals even though I'm just like ok, ok , got it, ok, fine. It's like every other time I call she's telling me the same thing about cooking a fast meal. I know she doesn't think I eat well, and sometimes I don't, but damit, I am capable of feeding myself and making a quick meal... and sometimes I'm too lazy and tired after work to do anything more than pour a bowl of cereal or just eat chips.

My mom is actually surprisingly not annoying about my foray into motherhood.

However, my MIL keeps asking when we're going to put Natalie on formula so she can spend the weekend with them alone. She's been asking since she was a week old, and they live a ferry ride that's closed at night away. I'm not Kim Kardashian... I don't plan to be away from my baby for an extended period at 8 weeks old.

And then when I say I don't plan to give her formula at all, it becomes a lecture about how I'm going to get annoyed at the inconvenience of breastfeeding and DH was formula fed and turned out fine, and if I say ANYTHING about it being better to breastfeed gets defensive.

@Sapphiresun: ha! Funny enough, breastfeeding is wayyyyy more convenient than formula feeding Your MIL needs to slow her roll.
