So...my doctor said I'd go labor day weekend most likely at the very latest. The past couple days my back pain has gone from bad to worse and I have gotten so tired it's literally ridiculous. I honestly can't even imagine making it until Monday!! I'm having pains that are different than BH. I can't describe it, but there has definitely been a turn in the last 48 hours.
Did there come a point for you when you knew birth was imminent?? Or you felt like it was?

I felt great until I woke up to contractions.. had my LO 12 hours later.
Sounds like you're gonna have your baby soon though...! Good luck!!

I was 3CM dilated starting from week 38. At my 39th week DR's appt, the DR told me I probably wouldn't make it to 40 weeks since she could feel LO's head

The day before I went into labour, I felt like a truck hit me! I felt so yucky! I felt like I hit a wall, and I went to bed at 9:30. The next day I felt great until contractions started at five pm! Crazy!

Like @chopsuey119: I felt perfectly fine, until I woke up to my first ever contraction and my water breaking I was still certain I'd have to be induced

The morning of the day I went into labor I was more tired than usual. And that afternoon I felt a tightening similar to BH but more painful. I went into labor that night, and the tightening was a real contraction. Good luck for a speedy and easy labor and delivery.

I hope so for your sake. I have been feeling the same exact way for two days now. What makes your doc say you wont go past labor day? are you super dilated? I was 1cm, 50% effaced and -3 station on Wed. I am 39 weeks on sunday. I hope i am close but for some reason I fear i will be waiting a few days past due.

Every week my doctor kept telling me she didn't think she'd see me the next week.... and then sure enough she'd see me. This started around 36 weeks and then LO didn't come until her due date.
Hopefully your doctor is better at guessing these things, good luck!

@mrsmccarthy because the baby is measuring large and i will be 41 weeks by then, plus with the really bad swelling i have been having. i was at 1 and 100% effaced at my 38 week appointment. I'm still not getting my hopes up but something wack is going on and I can't last much longer like this!!
@mungbean: dr told me he could feel the head at my 36 week appointment, it freaked me out!! i have been carrying super low the whole pregnancy.

y'all! i woke up this morning feeling "ok," but i cannot even believe how swollen my hands are now....in addition to sausage legs! i have a friend who is convinced i need to go to l&d...but i am trying to tough it out until monday. bed all weekend for me! monday is the first day of school and i want to be there...after that, the towel has been thrown in!

I keep being told my baby is average size but I feel like he is big too. Not sure why. He just feels so heavy and long to me.

@mrsmccarthy with the luck i have you will probably go before me! ahh! i might call dr on monday and see if i can get my tues appt moved to monday. he was around 6 1/2 lbs at 36 weeks...my belly is totally lop-sided now! between him dropping and the weight gain, i am ready to pop!

And that really stinks about the swelling, which, for me, too, has also been epically bad the past couple of days. My hands and forearms are also now swollen, and my hands feel tight and ache.

dilated to a 3 and 100% effaced! dr. thinks i will go into labor sometime soon, as in before my appointment next tuesday. if i make it that far...we'll discuss induction! full moon friday, so we will see! @sorrycharlie, definitely feel like this is almost never going to end!
keep your fingers crossed for me that nothing crazy happens at work...i have 30+ kids in all my classes and i will freak if my water breaks or i go into labor in front of them!!
