Ever have one of these days? Is this toddler related or what? I wish I could just wave a wand and be done.

Yes...I ran the dishwasher twice a day but I skipped cleaning...though I was highly irritated with the mess.
Uggh. Will I ever get a clean, guilt-free weekend? No.@T.H.O.U.: Just noticed your profile pic. Did you go to the Disneyland with a toddler? How was it? We plan to go @ 2 1/2 yr.

Weekends are like that here. When DH is home, the dishes are never ending and I'm picking up the house all day long. During the week, the animals throw hair everywhere, but we're in a vacuuming routine, even though it's pretty much never ending.
The kid actually picks up after himself, lol.

I have little baskets and bins so I can just throw LO's toys in. I'd like a better system.... but for now it works.

@Dandelion: That's awesome that your little one picks up after himself. How did you manage that? I expect her to pickup her books, blocks and clothes and on most days she will with a lot of encouraging.
@artbee: I have a bin system too but I organized it with labels so that takes more time. If it was a closed bin system, I'd probably like it even more because it would contain the mess. -
@808love: He's almost 6, so it's just part of his expectations. It's not fail proof...he needs to be reminded a lot, but things get taken away if I see it in the living room too long. He also knows that he needs to pick up one thing before he starts another.

@Dandelion: That's great advice-to start the drill early (one thing at a time) and I guess I have a long way to go.
