I don't think you can make a comparison like that between those 3 particular events, so I don't think the graphic makes much sense. I wouldn't agree that we don't remember with respect the victims of slavery--I think most people would agree that it was an atrocious mark on our country's history. I don't think you can accurately break down large issues into a jpeg file, and I think it would be a mistake to attribute that opinion (i.e. black people are lazy and should go back to Africa) to the masses.

Sigh. I would guess it's because slavery is something we as a country were responsible for, so it's hard for people to wrap their mind around that morally, while the other two were things done to "us" by outsiders. That's all I got. You'd thing the opposite would be true, but cognitive dissonance makes people weird (we're the best! I love us! Even though we did something horrific!)
