I'm still routing for team USA for women's gymnastics, disappointed with the new rules that Jordyn Weiber didn't make it into the all arounds as well, how disappointing for her.
I might get some flack for this, but I'm over Ryan Lochte, I think he got too cocky after his frist win and it is affecting his performances now. He needs to bring it down a notch and focus again if he wants another medal!

@jessiejo17: For me Lochte is a lot harder to root for than Phelps for the same reasons your mentioned.

I haven't paid enough attention to the Olympics, but it was nice being able to catch up a little last night and this morning. I loved watching tennis earlier.

@jessiejo17: I think the rule has been in place since 2004 for the two top for each country, before I think it was top 3!
I am disappointed but I hope people can rally around Aly Raisman and Gabby Douglas. I hope Aly Raisman doesn't feel guilty for qualifying for the All Around!

@autumnlove: I couldn't remember when it went in place, I still don't agree with it. It should be the top all around, it shouldn't matter which country they are from, the best competing against the best!
I think people will still cheer for Aly, I just hope she competes well so people don't pull the "should have been Jordyn" junk! She earned the spot fair and square.

@jessiejo17: Yeah, I agree! The rule totally sucks...the all around should just be the top 24! i'm sure some years, certain countries will have more athletes than others but so what!

Oh I know - I was sooo sad for Jordyn... but I also loved Gabby and Aly too. I wish they all could have made it.
I did think it was crazy how nearly everyone on the US team, AND Russian team went out of bounds on their floor exercises. I have never seen that happen!! Crazy..
I was super proud of the womens synchronized diving team - one of the girls, Kelsey Bryant, is from my area!! So our local channel was so excited about the benefits that will bring to our university (where she trained).
And of course Vollmer in swimming too - setting a new world record, that was awesome.
I also love Beach Volleyball - Walsh/Treanor are my faves!

I've loved watching the synchronized diving as well. Those people amaze me! I'm a bit disappointed with the men's gymnastics team. After Orozco busted it on his first vault last night, I had to turn it off.

Totally agree about Lochte! I was sort of glad to see him come in 4th last night. I still can't believe the diamond grill and he tried to wear it while getting his gold metal. Get some class, dude!
Excited for the woman's gymnastics tonight. If I can stay awake for it. I couldn't stay for the men's last night.

@JessieJo17: I agree Aly earned her all-around spot fair and square, but she does not have the polish and appeal that Jordyn has, especially with the international judges . . . so I think it will be much harder for her to medal.
For me, the jury is still out on Lochte . . . he has displayed behavior similar to what Phelps displayed at the previous 2 olympics. The contrast is much more stark now that Phelps has mellowed a bit.
