Yeah so we're all over the board with baby names at the moment. What do you think of Dinah? Too many strikes against it? (Dinah won't you blow...but do kids know that song these days? DH doesn't like that she was violated in the Bible. But who really knows that story?) Is it cute or something that I shouldn't stick on our daughter?

Is it like Die-nah? Or Dee-na? I like the Dee-na pronunciation a lot more. Have you ever read the book The Red Tent? It's a historical fiction loosely based on the biblical story about Dinah. I think she pronounces Dee-na, from what I recall. Look it up! I prefer Zara

One of the names I lobbied hard for in this pregnancy was Susannah, so I wouldn't rule it out just for the song association, but that was a big drawback for my DH.

@Boheme: @ladybee: Elsa was on our original list! ...until Frozen came out. I just can't get down with it now, which is a shame because we both really like it! Have also considered Eliza. (truth: we have considered just about every name in existence...but we agreed on Eliza for over 12 hrs, which is a long time for us!)

We thought about this name but I was torn! I love it and don't at the same time.

Love it, especially the Die-na pronounciation. But we also gave our daughter a name connected with a classic children's song and it doesn't bother us at all.
