How long does your battery last? Ours seems to only last one night at a time (with the video screen turned off most of the time) and I'm not sure if that's normal or not? If I use it for bits and pieces of time, turning it on and off, it seems to last even less.

Yeah. We leave the video monitor plugged in next to our bed, so it's not an issue. We only have it unplugged when we want to have it out around the house.

Lasts about the same.
We had a levana monitor before this and it lasted about an hour maybe off that battery so I was happy that the motorla lasted all night.

Same! I leave it plugged in by my bed ... or wherever I am around the house 
... and only unplug it when I'm walking around.

Same, plugged in at night. Sometimes I'll leave it on and unplugged to wear the battery down (read that somewhere a million years ago that it helps battery life, but it's probably a wives tale :))

Ours doesn't last that long so it just stays in all night.
@CarrieLouWho: DH is all about technology and he always tells me that you're supposed to let a battery get as close to dying as possible before charging to help the battery last longer.

We charge it every night, but it's pretty low after a day of use. @BelugaBean: It depends on the type of battery. Lithium batteries don't have to be run down.

@Weagle: I think he's mainly told me that about our phones and computers. He tells me that's why my phone dies a lot quicker than his does. I tell him it's because I use it a lot to take pictures of LO during the day or to send emails.

@Weagle: DH is just like that (electrical engineer, computer nerd) but maybe he's just being cautious with everything. I just go with what he says because honestly, I have no idea what I'm talking about when it comes to technology most of the time. There have been times he's pressed something on the remote and I can't get the TV on.

yeah I find it has a crappy battery life, and out of nowhere! it'll seem fully charged and then start beeping red at me. oy.
I generally have it downstairs, battery during the day and plugged in over night. she only takes 40m naps, though, so it's not on for long amounts of time unplugged.

Such a bummer, because it's a great monitor otherwise. Just wish it had a longer battery life! Trying it plugged in tonight.

Yeah I was a little disappointed in the battery life! We just ended up plugging it in next to the bed
