@illumina: My DD was evaluated for EI at 20 months because she had very little words - one thing I pointed out was that she couldn't even say her brothers name which started with a "S" - she told me that "S" is actually a hard letter to say and not to worry at all

She did eventually learn it but I cant remember exactly when

My DD is 23 months also and struggles with "S"...

In frozen.. Sven is called "Ben" and when counting to 10 she basically pretends "7" doesnt exists!

I think its normal and "S" is just a hard letter to master!

"S" in word-initial position may not be mastered until age 5, so no need to worry

DD is 3 and pronounces a few letters oddly, but surprisingly, she can say "S". Although, words that start with a "Y" is pronounced w, but words that start with "W" is pronounced like a v. I'm not too worried about it.
