@SugarplumsMom: Oh gosh, I would if I could. It was from Target and we no longer have Target in Canada.

@MOMTOLITTLEB: haha! I get trading or giving if it's something that I'm done with, but if I'm using it and happy, why suggest it? "Can I have that coffee table?!" Uh... but... I'm using it! People make me laugh.

I don't think you're crazy. We specifically picked out are tree to be decent quality, full, the shape we wanted, the amount of lights we wanted, etc. so I would not want to take somebody else's tree that does not meet the specifications.

I would be excited to get a bigger/taller tree... but if you are attached to your tree I totally understand! Better to just be honest than regret it though I have a hard time with this stuff too.

@.twist.: do you have enough ornaments to decorate the tree with? I feel like that's a pretty big jump in size, I don't think I'd have enough? Or will she let you borrow some of hers?

This reminds me of a saying: "lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part." So why is it up to you to fix her problem? Say no if you want, you don't need some awesome reason!

@daniellemybelle: It's not even so much that I don't want a bigger tree, but more that I don't want her tree. The quality isn't the same as mine and there are subtle differences that I don't particularly like about the style. Ya know?
@petunia354: Our styles are so different. I decorate with childhood ornaments from when I was a kid and she is more classic but old ladyish. haha
@kitty: I totally agree with you!

@.twist.: I'd decline then! You are going to be looking at that tree a lot over the next month, it's better be something you enjoy!!

I for sure wouldn't trade! We got a new tree last year that I love - it has pine cones and a little bit of 'dusting' over some of the branches. I absolutely love it and was excited to get it out again this year. So I don't think you're being crazy at all!

This is a truly great thread, lol! You really gotta post pictures of this tree that you love!

@snowjewelz: haha just trying to bring quality content to HB!
Ok, I will share the tree, but be warned, it didn't fit in our last house, so it's crunched to the ceiling. Also, don't get your hopes up, it's not THAT special.

@.twist.: Haha! I actually love skinny trees! I don't have a ton of room so I always appreciate a pretty, skinny, well groomed fake tree

@.twist.: It's so beautiful! I want to do ribbon on my tree but my husband is very against that. I love skinny trees too. Here's our tree from two years ago. It was kind of sad since it was right after H was born and we were tired.

@snowjewelz: Yes! I love a skinny tree too. Our new house has a lot more room that our old one, but I don't care, I just love it.
@avivoca: Oh, I understand that, your tree is beautiful though! I think the skinny trees are so nice. I saw a bee (can't remember which one) who did ribbons falling from the top of the tree instead of wrapped around like I have, and it was so nice! Why is he against a ribbon!?

I can't believe this is a thing. But I'd buy her a tree off kijiji (and maybe sell hers?) so......yep p

I'd say no. I am particular about my trees too and if I loved mine I wouldn't trade it.

@.twist.: He hates ribbon, tinsel, tinsel garland, and all things fun apparently. I might put ribbon on it this year anyway, we've been married for almost 9 years and I've been doing the tree his way for all of them, so it's time to have the tree the way I want it.

@.twist.: I love this tree and this thread! It made me laugh. In a good way. I'm also strangely attached to silly things so I got you the entire time.

@avivoca: I think you deserve to decorate this year the way you want!
@LibbyLou: haha! Providing entertainment to HB since 2011!!

@.twist.: Ribbon twins! Love your tree and I am glad you stuck to your tree guns and kept your tree. I would be weird possessive about my tree too!

@Reese: #treeproblems #lovetheribbons I can't wait for the decorated tree sharing thread. Then I'll take my tree love to a whole new crazy level.

@avivoca: I think that tree is lovely, not sad. But agree if you want garland, tinsel, etc you should go the whole nine yards.

@avivoca: Everyone and their cat decorated last weekend. I am firmly in the camp of "can't decorate before december 1". IT'S BEEN A HARD WEEK.
watermelon / 14467 posts
@PawPrints: It's sad because I know that only the front half was decorated lol. We have so many more ornaments, but we were so exhausted that we quit halfway through. Last year's tree was much better, but I failed to get a full picture with it on my phone.

@.twist.: I like to put ours up the day after American Thanksgiving, but I'm slacking. This weekend!

@.twist.: beautiful tree - love the decorations! We finally went with a real one this year after we remembered we got rid of our old fake one last year, and it's pretty exciting! Have to decorate it tonight, so this has got me excited to start
