Poor C. We did CIO a while ago and she has been going to sleep on her own for bedtime and naps for about a month, like a total champ. We went away for Christmas, with a 2 hour time change, lots of schedule disruptions while out and about, late bed times, and she handled it all so well, I was so proud. We got home Sunday and we put her to bed at her regular bedtime in the previous time zone (so, 9:30 here, which was 7:30 where we were).

We've been trying to move her back to local time and watching her sleep cues, but last night and tonight she was obviously tired, but screamed before falling asleep, like she hasn't since the first night of sleep training. Last night I thought it was teething so I caved and nursed her to sleep because I couldn't bear to listen to it, but the same thing happened tonight and we let her cry. It was so sad, but I know she just needs to relearn her routine and how to fall asleep in her crib. At least, I think so-- naps were fine, and I don't see any teeth.

Anyone else's baby get thrown off with the holiday craziness? Any other explanation for a 5 month old suddenly screaming before bed when she hasn't done that in a month?
