The kids have been getting more screentime lately (we had a gap in childcare), and it's resulted in a spate of bad behavior!
One trick that's been working is to tell the kids that screentime can sometimes result in bad behavior. I've been amazed that sometimes the kids have been choosing to make art instead of using their iPads! I am always surprised when treating them like adults actually works out!!
The other trick we've been using is to respond to tantrums with understanding and a showering of love (even when mostly I just want to explode and slam the door to my room and hide in it!). It takes some time to break through to them, but then we see much better behavior and earlier bedtimes.
Any tricks for dealing with bad behavior from your LO?
