In an effort to get in shape I joined a gym in December and usually go 3 times per week.

Its consider HIIT - its a 60 min group class with a mix of rowing, treadmill, and free weights.

A few months ago my knee started bothering me - it got better but now I have to modify a lot of the exercises and cant jump at all (and here they like jumping for that added cardio boost).

They just opened a Barre studio by my house and I was thinking of checking it out - I thought my gym was pricey and this is another $60 month on top of what I pay now - yikes!

I tried Barre DVDs and it was ok but wondering if a in studio class is better.

Can I get toned with Barre? Can you lose weight in hips/thighs?

What's your choice for exercise?
