TTC 6 mo+ Graduates

I connected with so many people on this site and WB while I was struggling to conceive, but once we separate into month threads, I feel like we all lose track of each other. So can we update from time to time here?

I'm 15 weeks tomorrow and we're having a boy! I've had a ton of discharge, some pink, but it seems to be normal consider all I've been through during this pregnancy. I'm starting to feel much more comfortable physically and I'm starting to "believe" in this.

Where is everyone else at?

@Mrs Green Grass: I posted on your blog but Congrats on your son!!!! I am so excited for you!!!

I'll check in here:). I'm 21 weeks with a baby girl named Harper! I've been feeling prety good except for some pretty crazy RLP the past couple of days, but I can totally tell that my bump is finally popping all the way out, so totally worth it!!!

Today I had my first experience where someone noticed I was pg without me telling them! It was actually the guy who owns the liquor store next to our Publix where I used to buy our liquor from:). I saw him at the gym and he said, "Well that explains why I haven't seen you in a while!". It felt good to know that it's finally obvious that I'm not just a chunky monkey!

@Mrs Green Grass: Did you find out what your BFF is having? Your little boy is going to have some really good playmates with her baby and your nephew so close in age!

@jholler25: She's having a girl. So our LOs can marry each other :). It sounds like our bumps are probably about the same size right now! I had a ton of pain for about a week until I "popped."

After 7 months of TTC post miscarriage, Hubs and I are 17w3d along, and found out on Monday that we're having a little girl. I still have a little M/S, but it's only when I brush my teeth in the a.m. I have had a lot of egg-whitish discharge lately though.

So exciting to see all of my favorite ladies from WB over here with growing bellies

I look at my son every day and can't believe how lucky I am to have him and how worth it he is- all the discomfort of pregnancy and the time and frustration of TTC. I guess I was just waiting for the right baby to come along.

Can't wait to hear more about each of your journeys!

Hubs and I were trying for six months when we got pregnant! I'm now 8 weeks along and due in March! I had some bleeding last week and ended up doing a bunch of tests and having a viability scan and everything looked okay, so hoping that was the extent of the "excitement" for this pregnancy, haha.

I still religiously stalk the WB 6 mos & Up Club thread...I keep up with some of them via blogs & email, and I just CAN'T WAIT for the day when I see them over here, healthily pregnant:). What a good bunch of just AMAZING people.

Hey guys - we tried for 21 months with 2 CPs along the way before I got enrolled in the national AMIGOS study, FREE IUI + meds+ monitoring (up to 4 cycles). The first shot at IUI worked, and I will be 14 weeks tomorrow. So far so good. I still lurk on the 6+ thread on WB too, though i don't post there any more.

@MaisyMay: i get ewcm sometimes too, I have no idea what's up with that. My CF altogether has increased too. It's so lovely:). Congrats on your baby girl!

@Adira: Hopefully that is the last of the spotting/bleeding! I had several episodes in first tri and I REALLY could have done without it!

Yay!!!! How exciting to be able to reunite I still stalk the 6mo. thread on WB too even though I don't post over there very much. I'm always excited when I see a graduate over here!

I’m 28 weeks pregnant (3rd tri baby!!!) with a healthy baby boy after 9 months TTC and 2 early miscarriages due to PCOS and low progesterone/thyroid. I still worry ALL the time but I’m finding ways to get through it.

@septca: That sounds so fantastic! I wish I could fully let go....soon I hope.

I haven't mentioned this anywhere really, but I came back as a carrier for Muscular Spinal Atrophy when we did our genetic testing. DH got his blood test last week, so we should know in another week whether he's a carrier. I guess there's about a 1 in 40 chance. Then if he is...a 1/4 chance that baby has it. I'm really stressed about it. I feel like karmically, nothing else traumatic can happen, but I just want to know! MSA is super-serious. Most children die within their 1st 2 years.

@Mrs Green Grass: omg, I hope he's not a carrier and you are left in some freakin' peace finally to enjoy your pregnancy! I agree with you, karma just COULD NOT allow that to ever really happen. I am so sorry that you keep getting faced with all this scary, stressful stuff. I will keep you guys in my prayers...I can't wait for you to be able to let go and really finally get to enjoy this pregnancy!

@Mrs Green Grass: We just had this same issue over cystic fibrosis. I'm a carrier; Hubs had to get tested. He had a 1 in 25 chance, and if he was, we had 1 in 4 odds. We ended up being okay. Best of luck to you!!

Sorry to butt in on this thread, but we have some history with SMA. DH's cousin has it (he's 14, in a wheelchair for life, but super smart/happy/charming and breaking all sorts of expectations). SIL found out she was a carrier when she was 4 months pregnant, and her BF had to be tested. Based on his results, his carrier risk was reduced to 0.02% (2 copies of the gene) which meant that their DD had a 1 in 2,400 chance of getting SMA. She doesn't have it - she's 5 1/2 months old and crawling, and she's doing great! I hope you have a good outcome too! I know that there are also varying degrees of SMA - some people who have it don't even show major signs of it.

No CVS is just chromosomes in general, this is a much smaller "piece" and it's not all that common. If Dh does come back as a carrier, they can go back as test the sample.

@Rachel: yeah my mom actually taught a girl with it who lived into her teens and was intelligent but wheel chair bound and couldn't speak

@Mrs Green Grass: just have to say again I'm so excited for you!!! I know it was a super hard & long journey for you. I rooted for you silently every month!

OK - it took us 7 cycles but here we are now with our beautiful M ready to turn 3 months this Saturday!!! It's crazy I tell you. Worth every heartache.

I wonder if our TTC #2 will be faster, just as long or longer?? I'm hoping for faster!

It is so good to see you ALL here!! We shared such hard times TTC, and now here we are on the other side. I'm just about 27 weeks with our little baguette who I just adore already, even though I have no idea whether heshe is a boy or girl in there!

Today's ultrasound was great. Baby was moving around a ton and was measuring well. The only snag is the MSA, but I'm not going to worry about it....working on my FB post as we speak! This isn't the exact pic, but it's similar. I have many fancier more creative ideas, but I can't do them by myself, so this'll have to do.

I am SO relieved to be pregnant now. Here's a quick rundown of all the other pregnancies surrounding me at the moment:

1. my cousin, due at Thanksgiving
2. coworker #1, due christmas eve
3. coworker #2, due early feb.
4. coworker #3's wife, due early feb.
5. DH cousin's wife, due early Feb.

I thought I was surrounded by pregnancies before, but WOW, this is a lot. (Insert the "50 shades babies" joke here.) I just keep thinking how hard it would be to have all of these pregnancies around if we were still trying. And about how lucky we are.

@dagret: ditto, sister!!! Well the main one for me is DH's best friend who just got married in November. As of the last time we were with them in Jan (they live in another state), she was still on the pill. They told us a few weeks ago that she is 3 weeks behind me, due for end of Dec. I was excited, especially for DH to have his good buddy to go through everything with, and then kids the same age, etc... But I also thought about how that would have GUTTED me if we still weren't pg. I got my bfp in March, she is right behind me and was still on the pill in jan- so things happened really fast for them. I really would have had to have been committed.

Yay for finally being knocked up properly!

Everyone's knocked up over here too (and we're all in our 30s). I'm having a little birthday breakfast today and of the 7 people. 3 had babies within the last 3 months, 1 within the last year, and 2 of us are pregnant. I wouldn't have even gotten all of these people (really close friends) together if I wasn't pregnant now!
