I always watch the one about topamax because I used to take it, and it says if you took it while pregnant and now all these things are wrong with your LO, call this number.

Topamax does awful things to you and has such bad side effects. I think it's pretty obvious you shouldn't take it while pregnant.

@pastemoo: its a class c drug so they don't know much. My doctor told me to decrease my dose when ttc, not get off of it completely. But that sounded crazy to me so I got off of it anyway and found another doctor.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I agree with that, and I took many meds that I hated taking, but knowing how that specific med affected my body, I strongly felt it would be very harmful for my LO. It screws with your body, your appetite, your brain, etc. It's a crazy drug. In this situation, there are other meds that have to be safer than that.

Ugh hate these! And I also hate the drug commercials like "Ask your doctor about ________"... don't you trust your doctor to know what kind of medicine is right for your particular ailment?? Doctors must hate their patients coming in and saying "well I saw this commercial on TV and I think you should give me this drug".

I understand for BCP - there are so many different kinds, and which one you choose is sort of up to personal preference (ring, UID, pill, etc), but the rest drive me up a wall!
