Nope, but it was hard to resist for sure! Our ped said to leave it alone even if it's hanging there by a thread.

No! I was terrified when it bled a few times from rubbing on his diaper so I left it alone

noooo don't fiddle with it! I didn't on purpose, but accidentally kept bumping it and it fell off too soon. I had to take her in to have it cauterized!

Because my LO's took for-ev-er to come off (almost 3 weeks!), I helped it along at the very very end.

Our LO's umbilical stump sort of fell off during a diaper change. At one of his appointments, the remainder of it was there. The peds cleaned it up.
