I have the UB Cruz and love it but it's gotten quite dirty from all our travels. I'm looking into getting an umbrella stroller for future travels and I love the look of the G-luxe. DH thinks we should just get something cheaper because he's not sure how often we're really going to use it. I mean I guess we could use in all the time instead of the Cruz, but I don't want the Cruz to go to waste either! Did you stop using your full-size stroller once you have the umbrella stroller? And which umbrella stroller do you recommend?

We have a gluxe, but we still use our big stroller more than the umbrella. DH doesn't like the lower sides (he says she's too exposed)!

I love the G Luxe and we never used our full size Chicco stroller.

We have the g luxe and only use it when we're traveling. It pretty much lives in DHs car in case we need it when we're out of town. I still use my UBV daily.

I think it depends on your lifestyle. LO is now 2 and we rarely use either of our strollers unless we're going to be out all day or we're taking a family walk around the neighborhood. In our case, an umbrella stroller truly would just be for travel, and I'm not paying the G-Luxe price for a travel stroller.

Have the g lite and love it. It doesn't recline though so if you intend to rely on it for naps I would get the g luxe. We use that and the jogging stroller.

We have the Cruz & G-Luxe. Love them both! If we're only going to be somewhere for a short time or somewhere that's crowded we use the G-Luxe. Otherwise we use the Cruz.

We have the Maclaren quest...we got it to replace the original full size stroller and haven't used that since. It's amazing! So light and easy to fit in the car!

@lawbee11: Ah this is so hard! We live in the city and LOVE the Cruz. I feel like it's compact enough where I wouldn't have any issues using it in crowded places. It's our only stroller right now and DD is 20 months. I guess I would feel differently if our full-size stroller was bigger and I felt like I NEED something smaller and more lightweight. I just want the G-luxe because it looks pretty. Haha. I don't know if I can convince DH though.

@dolphin: Yeah, we definitely didn't need the G-Luxe. My DH was actually pretty against it (he wanted to get a $20 umbrella stroller from BRU). But it got such great reviews and has a huge canopy and basket, so I finally convinced DH (and like you said it's just so pretty!). He's glad we got it now!

We have an ubv and a mountain buggy nano travel stroller. I use my vista 90% of the time, but use the nano if we are taking the bus (easy to just pick up onto the step) or if we are traveling or taking the cr for whatever reason (visiting parents, the mall, whatever). We don't drive often though, living in a city. The vista is just way too big and cumbersome to get in our car.
So for us it was a worthwhile expense. We were between the gluxe and the nano bc I wanted the recline for future baby- at a year c already doesn't really nap in her stroller.

@lawbee11: Yes!! DH is the same way. He would be thrilled to get a $20 stroller. I do love a huge canopy and basket, which is why I love the Cruz. And at first DH wasn't convinced about the Cruz either but he's glad we have it now. Ok, I'll do more research and look into some of the other brands the other bees have mentioned and see if there is something less expensive but with huge canopy, basket and can recline! If not, then maybe I can convince DH too.
