Both ear thermometers are broken. I used a digital oral thermometer on DD.
I took DD's temp under her arm and it read 38.1 (100.58)
I then took her temp orally and it reads 39.1 (102.38) but it was just the inside of her cheek. I took my temp under my tongue, and then the inside of my cheek and there was a .5 difference, with the tongue being warmer. I know that test sounds ridiculous...but if it is true, her temp would be 39.6 (103.28).
Which reading would you go with? Should i just do it rectally for accuracy? I have read that you usually need to add 1 degree F when doing underarm readings.
i am just hoping her fever breaks by tomorrow morning!
