@stratosphere: Dont feel bad, parenting is really hard and being away during the days doesnt make it any easier. Your LO I am sure adores and loves you regardless of what she calls you.

My DD2 started referring to me by my first name (jokingly) before 18 months. By 15 months she knew both my husband's and my first names. It did not bother me in the slightest (we thought it was funny!). We would just laugh about what a precocious little thing she was.
She knows I'm her mother. There's no doubt in her mind. But she also knows that my name is Heather. And I am glad about that!
