Do you buy used clothes for your LO? Or do you used used clothes for your LO?
Most of my kids clothing is pre-owned, I love it because it saves so much money. There are some things I also buy occasionally, but I never pay full price. We are starting to have things we can give away ourself, but I had someone recently tell me they preferred new for their child.
What do you prefer for your own kids?

Most of it is used - the deals are great, and at this age, the clothes are barely used! That being said, I buy a few things new, especially if there's something great on sale (or that is just too cute to pass up!)

It's probably half/half for Xander (and almost all of Logan's is hand-me-downs). I LOVE the cost of pre-owned or used clothes. But sometimes I get caught up in buying sales from Carters.

Everything for DS was new, we have no one in our families or friends to get hand me downs from. And I never really had time to keep up with mom to mom sales, etc.
DS2 will wear stuff from DS1! with new pieces added in for seasonal changes!

Everything is new since I don't know anyone with girls/boys older than mine.
My family, friends and inlaws buy maybe 40% of the kids' wardrobe, so we actually don't end up spending much on clothes.

There is a kids consignment shop here in town I buy from also HB classifieds in addition to lots of hand me downs from my sister and @littlejoy. But I have been buying and wearing used my whole life. I just wash on sanitary cycle. My Mom just grabbed some cute things for the babe from Goodwill this week. I also buy a fair amount of new especially with deals on top of sale at Baby Gap. I would not say I prefer one over the other. I just like a bargain. Sometimes used is more expensive.

A lot of mixed. I buy from FB group and classifieds when things in their size pop up for a good price.

We get/got a lot of handme downs. The probably is then I end up buying more stuff cause I need a shirt to match the pants/shorts. She has like 15 shorts for this summer but no shirts. So now I have to buy shirts to match. Which isn't always easy so a lot she doesn't even wear.
Plus I like buying her clothes so she ends up with a lot.

We have a good mix. I have had good luck buying "lots" of clothes (especially for DD) I pick out what I like then re-sell the rest. I also love me some Gap sales so they have a lot from there as well. We don't really get any hand me downs at all.

we didn't get any hand-me-downs since my friends all have kids around the same age, so most things are new. but i do buy one off used pieces from instagram shops!

I do both. For my first I bought a lot new because it was so exciting to me but I'll happily take hand me downs and do buy used.

Most of her wardrobe is used, probably 20% is new and the bulk of that is gifts. We have a bunch of hand me downs and I supplement with used and a few new things.

Not as much as I thought I would. People don't buy nicer brands like Gap around here so the consignment stores are just Carters and Target. I'd rather by that stuff new on clearance so it's not doubly worn out before LO2 gets it!

We have a mix but my kids are hard on their clothes so the used stuff often doesn't make it. The older they get the more I realize that it's actually better to buy new and decent quality rather than having to replace things.

We have so many hand me downs. I think it's great! I have 3 close friends with boys just older. Perfect timing. I have bought a few new things because I couldn't help myself and to fill out some gaps in what we got.I have more clothing then he will wear. I need to sort through it again.

Both. There's a nice consignment store nearby, and I've bought things from swap.com too. But I like buying new things for special occasions.

If it's not a gift, it's secondhand. We're on a tight budget and she grows out of stuff quickly. We've been able to find tons of cute stuff at Goodwill and garage sales. We mostly only buy used for ourselves as well.

I rarely buy the baby clothes new. They're too expensive for the short time they wear them. Even if I was rich. Such a waste of money!

I don't have good luck with consignment stores. I can normally do just as good or better at a store with a coupon and a sale. If someone offers me clothes I take them! But, I just don't find good deals at consignment places.

We got gifted a TON of clothes for our son that we're still working through so we haven't had to buy much of anything, but we did buy some onesies and socks and hats at a baby consignment sale before DS was born. However, when I do buy clothes it tends to be new only because I can get intense deals at Kohls online and I don't have a lot of time to physically go and shop somewhere. I can get multiple sleepers and coordinated outfits from Carters brand at Kohls during a good sale with lots of online coupon codes for a few dollars a piece, which is about what I saw the consignment sales charge.

I don't go to consignment shops or JBF sales, honestly, but if I see a good deal on HB I like to snatch it up. Otherwise we shop brand new but I never pay full price -- I'm all about a bargain!

We do both. There is a FB group called Hipster Baby Clothes & Moccs and I get a lot of B's clothes/shoes off there. He also gets a lot of new stuff because I trade my product with other shops.

I love to hit the high-end garage sales for kids clothes (can get away with it up to a certain age!) All my sons clothes are new, we've passed the age

Most of it is new. I am completely open to buying used clothes, but I'm VERY picky, so I won't buy anything unless I love it. I tend to buy nicer brands used because they hold up better than say used H&M sleepers or something like that.

Both. I am picky and sometimes don't like the colors/styles of my favorite clothing stores lines for the season, in which case I'll look for past season clothes on eBay, my local listserv, or consignment shops.
I don't necessarily save money because I don't buy the things I buy new at full price anyway, and I only buy nicer brands in nearly new condition used. But I do think that shopping this way helps my girls to have pretty well curated closets that suit them nicely!

First 12 months of DS's life was 95% hand me downs and I absolutely loved it. It saved me so much money since they grow so quickly. We couldn't help but shop some for him, but always waited for a sale and stuff or buying ahead for next year/season so things are super discounted.

Heck yes My sister had a daughter almost exactly 1 year older than DD1. She gave us ALL her clothes, so for the first 18 months I had to buy very little (I picked up items here and there that were cute, ect.) When she found our her second baby was a boy, she told me to keep them. So DD2 will be wearing what she can (opposite seasons.) I also have no issues buying used clothes off our local FB swap site if they are in good condition or our local consignment shops. I do buy a lot of mix/match from carters/Target/Kohl's because most of the time it's just as cheap as used.

I don't buy used clothes/shoes for my kids. I just don't like the idea of not knowing where it came from. But I'll totally take hand me downs from family and friends. DS1 got lots of stuff from his cousin. But he's now caught up in size, so no more hand me downs.

Almost all new, because I do not have the time to browse. I don't save much money with consignment shopping honestly, because you have to buy what is there, not necessarily what you need and for me, I end up buying things that aren't essential.
